Knight, Thomas Andrew (1759–1838)| English horticulturist, president of the Horticultural Society 1811–38. The Knightian medal for horticulture, of which he was the first recipient, was instituted in his honour in 1836. He wrote the books A Treatise on the Culture of the Apple and Pear, 1797, Pomona Herefordiensis, 1811, and over 100 papers. |
