Knightstown

Knightstown

Town in east-central Indiana, 56 km/35 mi east of Indianapolis, on the Big Blue River; population (1990) 2,000. Settled in 1825, it is situated in a livestock- and grain-producing district, and has various light industries.

The US historian Charles A Beard was born here (1874).
