Kocis, Zoltan (1952– )

Hungarian pianist and composer. He studied in Budapest 1964–73 and made his debut in 1970. He toured the USA in 1971 and made his London and Salzburg debuts in 1972. He is most often heard in Bach and Bartók, whose second concerto he performed in London in 1988. His compositions include Memento (Chernobyl '86) for orchestra.
