Kolb, Barbara (1939– )

US composer. She has taught theory and composition in New York and has directed the Third Street Music School Settlement from 1979. She was resident at the electronic studio IRCAM in Paris, France, 1983–84.

She studied composition and clarinet at Hartt College and with Lukas Foss and Gunther Schuller at the Berkshire Music Center.
