Breed of domestic shorthaired cat. It derives its name from the northeastern province of Korat in Thailand where it originated. It has a blue-grey coat with a silvery sheen with very thick fur.

It has a heart-shaped face with green eyes, and a lithe body.

Imported into the USA 1959, the breed was recognized there 1966, and in the UK in 1975.
