Korzun, Valeri Grigorievich (1953- )

Russian cosmonaut. He spent 197 days aboard the Russian space station Mir from August 1996 to March 1997. During his residency he performed two space walks totalling more than 12 hours. He was a member of the fifth resident crew on the International Space Station, from June to December 2002, taking two space walks to install panels and a frame. Korzun graduated from the Gagarin Air Force Academy in 1987, and was selected as a cosmonaut in the same year.
