Krainev, Vladimir (Vsevolodovich) (1944- )

Russian pianist. He graduated the Moscow Conservatory 1967 and has given many concert tours of the USA, England, France, Germany, and eastern Europe. He is most often heard in Brahms, Prokofiev, Beethoven, and Bartók. He was runner-up in the first Leeds International Competition (in 1963) and won the 1970 Tchaikovsky International Competition.
