Kripke, Saul (Aaron) (1940- )

US philosopher and logician. Educated at Harvard University, he was a fellow and lecturer there (1963-67), then taught at Rockefeller University (1967-76) and Princeton University (from 1976). He make remarkable advances in logic in such papers as ‘Naming and Necessity’ (1972). Kripke was born in Bay Shore, New York.
