Kronoberg

County in the province of Småland, southern Sweden; area 9,840 sq km/3,799 sq mi; population (2000 est) 176,600. The region is a mixture of rolling plateaux, woods, and extensive marshland. Industries include timber, glass, electronics, and paper production. The capital is Växjö.

Växjö is the centre of handmade glass in Sweden, and has an international airport.
