Kubin, Alfred

    0.04 sec.

Kubin, Alfred (1877-1959)

German graphic artist and writer. One of the most original members of the Symbolist movement, he created a nightmarish world of morbid and erotic subjects - a counterpoint to the tranquil fantasy of fellow Symbolist Odilon Redon. His one novel, The Other Side 1908, is a precursor of Surrealism.
