Kuntaur

Town and river port on the north bank of the Gambia River in central Gambia, 175 km/110 mi east of Banjul; population (1993) 5,400. River trade is restricted to boats and other small vessels, as ocean-going ships cannot travel beyond Kaur to the west. Local agricultural products include groundnuts and rice.
