Kurski Zaliv

An inlet of the Baltic Sea, in Kaliningrad oblast (region), western Russian Federation. It extends along the coast south of Klaipeda for 93 km/58 mi, and is separated from the open sea by the Kurskaya Kosa (German Kurische Nehrung), a narrow sandy spit. It is an important centre for the local fishing industry.
