Kuznetsov, Vasilly

    0.06 sec.

Kuznetsov, Vasilly (1894-1964)

Soviet general of World War II. A young general when he defended Kiev 1941, he was afterwards made a scapegoat for its loss, though General Budenny was really at fault. Remarkably, Kuznetsov survived and was given a command at Stalingrad, where he performed well, and then became deputy commander of the Southwest Front, fighting from the Don to Berlin.
