Kvapil, Jaroslav (1892–1958)

Czech composer. He studied with Leoš Janáček at Brno and was later appointed professor of organ and counterpoint at the Organ School there. In 1911–13 he continued studying at the Leipzig Conservatory, Germany, and on his return to Brno became professor of piano and composition at the Conservatory and conductor of the Philharmonic Society.

cantata for baritone solo, chorus and orchestra.
