Kwe Kwe

Industrial and mining town in Zimbabwe, 235 km/146 mi southwest of Harare on the main road and railway to Bulawayo; population (1992) 75,400. Copper, gold, and iron ore are mined locally, and there are important steel and chrome industries.

There are steelworks at Redcliff, 14 km/9 mi west of Kwe Kwe.
