Kymi

Province in southeastern Finland, bordered to the east by the Russian Federation, to the north by Mikkeli province, and to the south by the Gulf of Finland; area 10,736 sq km/4,145 sq mi. It is forested, with many lakes, including part of Lake Saimaa. Timber is the main industry and there is a hydroelectric power station at Imatra Falls. Kouvola is the capital; principal towns include the port of Kotka on the Gulf of Finland.
