Läkäran| Port in southeastern Azerbaijan, situated on the Caspian Sea near the Iranian border, and 200 km/124 mi southwest of Baku; population (2006 est) 48,500. Länkäran is the centre of an agricultural area producing rice, citrus fruits, tobacco, tung oil, and tea, and itself has food, fishing, and timber industries. |
