Lépine, Stanislas Victor Edmond (1835-1892)

French landscape painter. He painted many small pictures of Paris and quiet canal and river views in its neighbourhood and in Normandy. A pupil of Camille Corot, he developed a delicate sense of atmosphere that prefigured Impressionism.
