La Guerre, Elisabeth-Claude Jacquet de (1666 or 1667–1729)

French harpsichordist and composer from the Jacquet family of musicians and instrument-makers. A pupil of her father, Claude Jacquet (died 1702), she showed early promise and attracted the patronage of Louis XIV and later Mme de Montespan, being particularly gifted at improvisation. She married the organist and composer Marin La Guerre (1658–1704) before 1684.

the opera Céphale et Procris (1694); cantatas; Te Deum and other church music; violin sonatas, trio sonatas, harpsichord music.
