La Marque

City in southeastern Texas, adjacent to Texas City, and 19 km/12 mi northwest of Galveston, on Highland Bayou just above Galveston's West Bay; population (1990) 14,100. A mostly residential suburb with oil refineries, it also produces strawberries and vegetables.
