Rokeby Venus

Painting by the Spanish artist Diego Velázquez about 1648 (National Gallery, London). It was painted at the time of the artist's second visit to Italy, in emulation of Titian. It is the earliest nude in Spanish painting and the only surviving nude by Velázquez.

The name by which the picture is popularly known refers to its having been in the Morritt collection in Rokeby Hall, Yorkshire, before its acquisition 1906 by the National Gallery.
