Labanotation

Comprehensive system of accurate dance notation (Kinetographie Laban) devised in 1928 by Rudolf von Laban. It uses a set of graphic symbols arranged on a vertical staff that represents the human body. The varying length of the symbols indicates the timing of the movements. It is commonly used as a means of copyright protection for choreographers.
