Lacolle

Small town in southern Québec, Canada, 14 km/9 mi north of Rouses Point, New York State, and just west of the Richelieu River; population (1991) 1,400. It was the site of a battle on 30 March 1814, during the War of 1812, in which invading US troops were defeated by the British.
