Lacy, Franz Mauritz (1725–1801)

Austrian soldier. Appointed chief of staff to Count von Daun in 1758, he was responsible for directing Austrian strategy in the Seven Years' War (1756–63). Later he commanded Austrian troops in the War of the Bavarian Succession, and against the Turks.
