Lacy, Franz Mauritz (1725-1801)

Austrian soldier. Appointed chief of staff to Count von Daun in 1758, he was responsible for directing Austrian strategy in the Seven Years' War (1756-63). Later he commanded Austrian troops in the War of the Bavarian Succession, and against the Turks.
