Lagomorpha| Mammalian order that includes hares, rabbits, and pikas. It consists of two families: Leporidae including 11 species of hares and rabbits, and Ochotonidae with 14 species of pikas. |
| Like rodents, lagomorphs have long incisors (front teeth) that grow continually, so must be kept short by gnawing. However, they also have a second pair of non-gnawing, chisel-like teeth which, along with other characteristics, differentiates them from rodents. |
