| US film actor. Her trademark peekaboo hairstyle was much imitated. She co-starred with Alan Ladd in several films during the 1940s, including This Gun for Hire (1942), The Glass Key (1942), and The Blue Dahlia (1946). She also appeared in Sullivan's Travels (1941) and I Married a Witch (1942). |
