Lake Zürich

Town in northeastern Illinois, on Lake Zürich, 56 km/35 mi northwest of Chicago; population (1990 est) 14,900. It has long served as a resort area for Chicago residents; recent residential development has brought it within the Chicago suburban belt. Concrete products and tools are manufactured here.
