Lakeville

City in southeastern Minnesota, 29 km/18 mi south of Minneapolis; population (1990) 24,900. A fast-growing outer Twin Cities suburb, it has experienced a recent boom in residential and light industrial development. Numerous shopping centres have been built to the west of the city.
