Lambertville

City in west-central New Jersey, 23 km/14 mi northwest of Trenton, across the Delaware River from New Hope, Pennsylvania; population (1990) 3,900. There is some light industry, but the city relies mainly on commerce generated by tourism.

It was originally called Coryel's Ferry, and became an industrial centre after the railway arrived in 1851.
