Lame Deer

Community in southeastern Montana, on Deer Creek, 145 km/90 mi east of Billings; population (1990) 1,900. Situated in a livestock raising region of rolling grassland with some forest, it is the headquarters of the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation (population (1990) 3,900).
