Lampe, John Frederick (Johann Friedrich) (1703–1751)| German bassoonist and composer. He left Brunswick about 1725 and settled in London, England, but went to Dublin, Ireland, in 1748 and to Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1750. He married Isabella Young, sister of Thomas Arne's wife. |
