Large marine bony fish. These fish may be up to 2 m/6.6 ft long and weigh approximately 200 kg/440 lb. They are widely distributed in warm seas, and feed on squids, crustaceans, and small fish.

Classification

Opahs are genus Lampris, family Lampridae, order Lampriformes.
