Langley

City (population (1991) 19,800) and district municipality (population (1991) 66,000) in southwestern British Columbia, Canada, between the Fraser River and Washington border, a suburb 34 km/21 mi southeast of Vancouver. Fruit and vegetable growing, dairying, and varied manufacturing and warehousing are important in the area; both city and district municipality are growing rapidly.

The Hudson's Bay Company's Fort Langley (1827) served briefly in 1858 as the capital of the colony of British Columbia; partially restored, it is now a national historical park.

Town in northeastern Oklahoma, on the Lake o' the Cherokees (the Neosho River), 80 km/50 mi northeast of Tulsa; population (1990) 500. It hosts fiddling exhibitions and country music festivals.

Locality in northeastern Virginia, along the Potomac River, 13 km/8 mi northwest of Washington DC. It is home to the Central Intelligence Agency, which shares a large government reservation with the Federal Highway Administration.
