Lapeer

City and administrative headquarters of Lapeer County, southeastern Michigan, on the South Branch of the Flint River, 32 km/20 mi east of Flint; population (1990) 7,800. It is a resort in a lake-dotted region also known for its orchards and its blueberry and mushroom farms. It manufactures foundry products, furniture, and aircraft parts.
