Lavan

In the Sikh marriage ceremony, wedding prayers comprising four hymns. The hymns were written by Guru Ram Das so that Sikhs would not have to use the Hindu wedding ceremony. They refer to the importance of love for God, referring to the union with God that is symbolized by marriage.
