Laver, Rod(ney) George (1938– )| Australian lawn-tennis player. He was one of the greatest left-handed players, and the first player to win the Grand Slam twice (1962 and 1969). |

| He won four Wimbledon singles titles, the Australian title three times, the US Open twice, and the French Open twice. The centre court at Melbourne Park, the venue for the Australian Open, is called the Rod Laver Arena in his honour. |
