Lawless, Theodore Kenneth

Lawless, Theodore Kenneth (1892–1971)

US physician. A leading dermatologist, he taught dermatology and syphilology at Northwestern Medical School (1924–41). He was one of the first physicians to use radium as a treatment for cancer. Lawless was born in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He was influential in financing African-American businesses in Chicago, Illinois.
