    0.03 sec.

Lawrie, Paul Stewart (1969– )

Scottish golfer who won the 1999 British Open at Carnoustie, Scotland, in a play-off, after beginning the final round 10 strokes behind the leader. He turned professional in 1986 and won his first tournament on the European tour in 1996.

Despite some impressive one-off performances such as his top six finish in the 1993 British Open, Lawrie's win at Carnoustie was only the third tournament victory of his professional career. In September 1999, he represented Europe in the Ryder Cup.
