Lailat ul-Qadr

Muslim festival that celebrates the giving of the Koran to Muhammad. It usually falls at the end of Ramadan.

Then came the celebrations of Laylat al-Qadr [the 27th of Ramadan], where President Hosni Mubarak gave a speech in which he said that the time has come to end the suffering of the Palestinian people, and that this people's cause is the key to peace and security in the Middle East.
It encompasses the most holy night of the year, Laylat al-Qadr, the night in which the Quran was revealed to the prophet Mohammed.
