Le Million

Film comedy made in France in 1931. Directed by René Clair, the film is about a painter who loses his winning lottery ticket, and his subsequent quest to find it which leads to a farcical ending on an opera stage. Clair's comic timing and meshing of music and dialogue created a lighthearted fantasy of unflagging good humour.
