Lee, Mark Charles (1952– )

US astronaut. His space shuttle missions include the Atlantis mission in May 1989 to deploy the Magellan spacecraft. In February 1997, he flew with the Discovery mission to upgrade and repair the Hubble Space Telescope, when he conducted three space walks totalling more than 19 hours. Lee was selected as an astronaut in 1984. He retired from NASA and the US Air Force in 2001.
