Strasberg, Lee (1901–1982)

US actor and artistic director of the Actors Studio from 1948. He developed Method acting from Stanislavsky's system; pupils have included Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Julie Harris, Kim Hunter, Geraldine Page, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro.

In 1931 Strasberg was one of the founders of the Group Theater, with Harold Clurman and Cheryl Crawford. It became known for its experimental plays, such as Men in White 1933 (Pulitzer Prize). He founded the Lee Strasberg Institute of Theater 1969. Strasberg made his film acting debut in The Godfather II 1974. He was the father of the actor Susan Strasberg (1938–1999).

First off, I was surprised to learn that you killed famed acting teacher Lee Strasberg.
She enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, scraped and struggled for tuition, hoping the experience would change her techniques and give her the experience and credentials she needed to get better work.
