Lemare, Edwin (Henry) (1865-1934)

English organist and composer. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London and after various church apointments became organist of St Margaret's, Westminster. In 1900 he toured in the USA, having by that time become a very successful concert organist. He was attached to the Carnegie Institute at Pittsburg 1902-15, and was municipal organist at San Francisco, 1917-21, and at Portland, ME, from 1921.

Works

two symphonies and a large amount of concert music for organ.
