Lemont

Town in northeastern Illinois, a suburb on the southern side of the Des Plaines River, 37 km/23 mi southwest of the Loop (the central business district of Chicago); population (1990) 7,300. It is an affluent community noted for the huge Cog Hill golf course and as a Lithuanian centre.
