Howard, Leslie (1893–1943)

English actor. His films include The Scarlet Pimpernel (1935), The Petrified Forest (1936), Pygmalion (1938), and Gone With the Wind (1939).

He was killed during a secret wartime mission when the plane he was travelling in was shot down by the Germans, allegedly because Winston Churchill was thought to be aboard.
