Leuchars

Village in Fife unitary authority, Scotland, 10 km/6 mi northwest of St Andrews; population (2001) 2,500. An RAF base and airfield are located nearby. Antiquities include a church, dating from the 12th century, with a Norman apse and chancel, and the 15th-century Earlshall Castle.
