Liaodong Peninsula

Peninsula in northeast China, forming part of Liaoning province; area 53,000 sq km/21,600 sq mi. The Gulf of Liaodong, part of the Bo Hai, is to the west, and Korea Bay, part of the Yellow Sea, to the east. Cities on the peninsula include Dalian, Anshan, and, further inland, Fushun. In 1988 the whole peninsula was declared open to foreign investment and trade.

This extended the open economic zones of the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou Triangle in south Fujian, Shandong Peninsula, Liaodong Peninsula, Hebei, and Guangxi into an open coastal belt.
Dalian's BingShan Just 100 miles north of Yantai by sea and 310 miles east of Beijing is scenic Dalian, which lies at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula.
