Liberace, Wladziu Valentino (1919–1987)

US pianist. He performed popular classics in a flamboyant style (for example, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata reduced to four minutes). His playing was overshadowed by his extravagant outfits and the candelabra always adorning his piano. The Liberace Show had a regular slot on US television in the 1950s.
