Lieberson, Peter (1946– )

US composer. He studied in New York with Milton Babbitt, Charles Wuorinen, and Donald Martino. He studied Buddhism 1976–81 and was inspired to write his piano concerto of 1983.

Instrumental

in a serial idiom Tashi Quartet (1979), Lalita (Chamber Variations) for ten instruments (1984), Raising the Gaze for seven instruments (1988), and Wind Messengers for 13 instruments (1990).
