Lifford

County town of County Donegal, Republic of Ireland; population (2002) 1,400. It is situated on the River Foyle, opposite Strabane in County Tyrone. There is salmon fishing in the Foyle, and greyhound racing in Lifford.

Lifford is joint county town with Letterkenny.
